CHURCH MISSION SOCIETY (CMS)

The Parish of Old Cleeve supports two mission partners. They are Lee and Sally Proudlove who are working in the Philippines. Lee is a priest and has set up churches in the area and supports the churches already established. Sally is a social worker and one aspect of her work deals with child trafficking in the area and another thing she is involved in is fostering. They have three young children.

Many people in the parish have CMS Boxes in which they save money for the work of Lee & Sally and a number of lunches are held in Lent for the work of the Society. Donations are always welcome. Once a year a lunch in aid of their work is held in which a guest speaker is invited. This year it is being held on 10 August at Manderley, Old Cleeve. The speaker is Mrs Ruth Haines speaking about her trip to Brazil.
